In partnership with George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs, RISE created an app that facilitated a study on the integration of refugees from the Middle East into a complex urban environment.
Designed to support a small team of RISE and University researchers, the Berlin platform was an assessment and data analysis tool used to inform and shape program interventions, public policy and practice.
The tool allowed our team to conduct refugee interviews and track the results in real-time with built-in analytics. Collecting data in both English and Arabic, the metrics revealed crucial information about refugee needs.
The project was an insightful exercise in combining user-centric design to facilitate the collection of live data that would ultimately be used in addressing the complex issues affecting integration of migrants into the EU.
